    [中] 标题「 (はふり) 」与「 (はふり) 」(神社的神职人员)及「 (はふり) 」同音。注意这里用的是旧假名遣,按现代规则应读作「 (ほうむり) 」、「 (ほうり) 」、「 (ほふり) 」。

    [en] the title (はふり) (hafuri, meaning “to bury”) is spelt the same as (はふり) (meaning “Shinto cleric”) and (はふり) (meaning “to butcher”) in old Japanese orthography. In modern orthography, these words are spelt differently: (ほうむり) (houmuri), (ほうり) (houri), (ほふり) (hofuri). ↩︎ ↩︎

  2. 大祝 (おおほうり)

    [中] 诹访大社最高神职,是现人神(即身为人类的神明)。诹访大社上社大祝为诹访氏,是上社所祭神建御名方神的后裔,自古以来世代担任此职。

    东方 Project 中,守矢神社对应的就是诹访大社。东风谷早苗是守矢神社的风祝(其实就是大祝,ZUN 在采访中曾提到过这一点),也是现人神,是神社所祭神明之一泄矢诹访子的后裔。另一位神明八坂神奈子对应的是建御名方神(诹访大社上社所祭神)及其妻神八坂刀卖神(下社所祭神)。

    [en] Oohouri: this is the title of the highest-ranking cleric in the Suwa Grand Shrine (諏訪大社 Suwa-taisha), who is also an arahitogami (現人神, a god who is a human being). The Oohuri of the Upper Shrine of Suwa has always been from the Suwa clan, which is said to be descendents from Takeminakata, the god worshipped in this shrine.

    In Touhou Project, the Moriya Shrine is based on the Suwa Grand Shrine. Sanae, the shrine’s kazehouri (風祝, which ZUN mentioned is the same as oohouri), is the descendent of Suwako, one of two gods worshipped in the shrine, which makes Sanae an arahitogami. The other god Yasaka Kanako is based on Takaminakata (worshipped in the Upper Shrine of Suwa) and his wife Yasakatome (worshipped in the Lower Shrine). ↩︎ ↩︎

    [中] 男童:据日本中世的传说,建御名方神曾使一名名叫有员(有員 (ありかず) )的八岁男童穿上御衣,让其成为自己的依代(即神明依附的人或物体)。有员即是最初的大祝,也是诹访氏的祖先。(来源

    [en] Boy: according to medieval legends, Takeminakata put divine clothing on an 8-year-boy named Arikazu (有員) and made him the god’s physical manifestation (gods themselves do not have physical bodies).     [中] 手长、足长:日本数地区传说中的两位巨人。在诹访市的有关传说中,手长足长是建御名方神的仆从。

    诹访子有符卡土著神「手长足长大人」。

    [en] Tenaga, Ashinaga: literally “long-arm” and “long-leg”, these are the names of two giants in Japanese folklore. In Suwa, the pair are servants of Takeminakata.

  5. 氷路

    [中] 冰路:即御神渡(御神渡り),指冬季诹访湖全面结冰后,因昼夜温差导致冰面上升及产生大型裂缝(即冰脊)的自然现象。传说这是建御名方神去往下社见妻神八坂刀卖神途中留下的痕迹。

    神奈子有符卡神符「神所踏足之御神渡」。

    [en] ice-road: refers to Omiwatari (御神渡り, meaning “god’s crossing”), the name of the pressure ridge appearing in the Lake Suwa in very cold winters. The road-like cracks are said to be formed when Takeminakata walked on the lake to visit his wife in the Lower Shrine.
